Solar Imaging with Lunt 100M-Double Stacked 10-17-15
Here are a couple quick shots of our glorious star that I captured today. Seeing was below average. The sun has four visible active regions right now, with AR2434 in southeast quadrant being the most active. Prominence activity was visible, but light. Used my Lunt LS100THa scope with double stack module, on an Atlas EQ-G mount. Guiding was done using a Hinode Solar Guider. Capuring camera used was a ZWO ASI174MM. For the close up shot of AR2434, I used a Tel Vue 5x barlow. Used Firecapture software for data acquisition. Post-processing was done using AutoStakkert II, Registax 6, and Photoshop CS6. For the main disk capture, I used roughly 1000 frames out of 1800 collected. For the close up shot of AR2434, I used roughly 1500, out of 2400 frames collected.
